STANFORD– At the end of the first day of the Stanford Invitational, California Athletics left Cobb Track and Angell Field with 7 new program top 10s and 15 personal bests, in addition to setup and meet records set by senior Camryn Rogers in the hammer throw.

Rogers’ mark of 74.18m (243-4) was good enough to win the event by a margin of 21ft, instantly putting her atop the NCAA season best list and third in the world after the first pitch of their 2022 outdoor campaign. Cal also fielded the second-place winner in the women’s hammer throw, as a junior Anna Purchase added to his PR with a throw of 67.77m (222-4) to take control of Cal’s second best all-time mark.
