Former Tennessee Titans ot Isaiah Wilson asks for second IG job

Days after training with the Indianapolis Colts, former 2020 Tennessee Titans first-round pick and offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson posted on Instagram asking for a second chance in the NFL.

Wilson’s message reads as follows:

Dear World,

Some of you might know me as GG, some of you might know me as Panda, even some of you might know me as the biggest bust in NFL history . Today I am writing to you under the name of Isaiah Wilson. Before the fame and the glamor, I was just a kid trying to make history as the best New York player. I was the hope of my hood. As time went on and success came, I had a hard time trying to prove who I was to everyone who was counting on my wins. I lost myself. I lost my mind. I lost my ability to love. I lost everything. When I lost, apparently everyone who was once in my corner was gone. Those who stayed, I love you. Today I am writing to you as Isaiah Wilson, not asking for forgiveness, but hoping for a second chance. With the time I have spent away from the game, I have learned so much about who I am as a human. I finally love myself and it’s amazing. I am now ready to take a step back in this area with pride, integrity and passion. Thank you to everyone who has not left me, I will never forget you and to those who ran away, I forgive you. I’m back and better than ever. Let’s go!

Wilson was selected with the No.29 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Titans, but his first and only season in the NFL was a total disaster.

Wilson encountered several issues, both on and off the field, and only played four snaps. Tennessee parted ways with the struggling Georgia product earlier this year by trading him to the Miami Dolphins in a deal that also saw the two teams trade seventh-round picks.

The 22-year-old’s time in Miami was brief as the Dolphins cut him off days after the trade was made official after he was reportedly late for his physique, late for the orientation of the ‘team and did not show up for a pair of optional practices which he had previously said he would attend.

As for the human element involved here, we’re happy to see that Wilson is in a better place right now and seemingly back on track after displaying destructive behavior since entering the NFL.

As we’ve seen in his training with the Colts before, Wilson will likely have a chance to show he deserves a second (or third) chance somewhere, but that won’t come to Tennessee or Miami.
