The pension fund is unlikely to get a second chance in the MiMedx class

By Brett Barrouquere (September 24, 2021, 5:22 p.m. EDT) – A federal judge in Georgia said Friday he would likely reject a pension fund effort to reopen a securities fraud class action lawsuit against MiMedx Group Inc., stating that there are no new arguments raised since dismissing the fund’s claims for lack of standing.

At a hearing in the Northern District of Georgia, U.S. District Judge William Ray II said nothing had changed in the position of the Carpenters Pension Fund of Illinois to establish that it had standing to prosecute allegations that the biomedical company MiMedx allegedly manipulated its financial information in a way that harmed the fund’s investments …
