Woman sues McDonald’s, claims she broke Lent

Apparently she loved him a little too much. A woman who fasted meat and animal products during Lent claims popular fast food chain McDonald’s caused her to break Lent. How did it go, according to her? The woman said all it took was a simple advertisement and she suddenly wanted a Big Mac and Chicken McNuggets. Now she is suing the establishment.

The Guardian reports that the woman accuses McDonald’s of breaking consumer protection law and insulting her religious feelings. Reports indicate that she is claiming the US equivalent of $ 14 in compensation for pain and suffering. That’s all? What happened to self-control? She claims to have successfully fasted during Lent for 16 years until April 2019, when she finally gave in after the alleged commercials and ordered a burger. The rest of the details are still scarce, although no one is sure this case will ever actually be heard before a judge.

You may remember back in June, when a video of a wild brawl at a McDonald’s went viral on the internet. And it all started because a customer wanted to mix three different flavors of slushy, and McDonald’s employees refused. The video shows the angry 44-year-old customer screaming and confronting restaurant workers behind the counter. An employee is heard telling others to call the cops. This only makes the customer even angrier as she suddenly swings and hits the service manager on the head.

After a more verbal exchange, the client briefly seems to calm down and even apologizes. She hasn’t been sorry for too long though. After filling her glass with ice cubes, she walks behind the counter to the granita machine and is once again confronted by the employee. This is when things get really crazy. The customer attacks, but the McDonald’s employee retaliates and throws her to the ground. The tired worker jumps on the uncontrollable woman and hits her. Guess she learned her lesson?
